 Roar

- Cecelia Ahern.

"Roar" by Cecelia Ahern is a collection of thirty captivating short stories that explore the lives of women, their fears, and guilt. Each story features a unique and miraculous ability or quirk. Ahern's storytelling ability shines as she explores various aspects of female empowerment, resilience, and identity. The stories are imaginative and thought-provoking, offering a fresh perspective on the challenges women face in their day-to-day lives. With a blend of wit, charm, and a touch of magic, Ahern creates a mesmerizing narrative that celebrates the strength, vulnerability, and individuality of her characters. "Roar" is a delightful, feminist literary work that will resonate with readers of all backgrounds, leaving them inspired and uplifted.

It's a must-read for both women and men seeking to understand women better. For anyone genuinely interested in comprehending their thoughts, fears, guilt, courage, resilience, energy, and determination.

Ahern meticulously narrates the assumed responsibilities of women and delves into the mindset of women striving for perfection in every aspect of life, even when it's often unattainable.

I cannot single out one story that I particularly like because each story addresses a different facet of life, and it's safe to say that every woman can relate to at least one of them. I resonate with two stories in particular: 'The Woman Who Grew Wings' and 'The Woman Who Found Bite Marks on Her Skin'.

When i started reading the book, i like the way of narration. the Metaphors.

The abilities, like growing wings or hearing thoughts, bite marks or swallowed up by floor, ticking clock these metaphors for the complex challenges women face in their daily lives.

What makes "Roar" so compelling is its ability to resonate with readers of all backgrounds. It speaks to the experiences of women – their fears, guilt, courage, durability, energy, and firmness in the face of adversity.

I would say its a must read to everyone to understand the daily battles women wage within themselves and against societal expectations. And for anyone seeking to understand the complex web of thoughts, fears, and dreams that women navigate.    (The joke - a big book on how to understand women)

The stories inspire us to acknowledge and celebrate the nature of women, breaking free from stereotypes and misconceptions. On their own. she is not expecting society to fight for them its women who should fight their own battles.

I urge each of you to read this book, discuss and share its stories. In doing so, perhaps we'll find a deeper understanding of ourselves and those we share this world with. Thank you.
